I haven't posted on this weblog for a while: I have been working on new things, making lots of new bracelets and preparing for my impending move into a-new-to-me trailer, hopefully by the end of July. The kitties and I are looking forward to having a HOME. This is all consuming but I am taking these few minutes before bed to say hello...

I spent part of Saturday working and then went to see the Princeton University P-rade, and took more photos of the Princeton Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Bordentown is a historic town from Colonial Days. It has been the residence of, most notably, Thomas Paine, and Clara Barton, and one of the Bonapartes. And Ocean Spray Cranberry.

Larry Kirwan of Black 47 at the Record Collector in Bordentown, NJ. I am still starstruck: but this is why I need a better camera!

This show deserves more commentary. It touched off a series of personal observances that set my little world on its ear. And I think that only writing about it will set it right again. So once I have let my thoughts settle a bit, I will be back with more words.

I first became aware of Larry Kirwan and Black 47 on the free form radio program Idiot's Delight that Vin Scelsa ran on a mainstream New York City radio station (which may no longer exist--the station not the show). This program became my religion, I listened to it every week and had many tapes of the shows that I listened to over and again. My strongest memory (of these tapes that I no longer have as it was stolen and ) of the show is Black 47 playing their song Desperate with Bob Marley's Three Little Birds in the middle of it.

Fast forwarding to going to this show on Friday. It brought out a lot of sadness and pain for me. Even though the performance was awesome, it defined for me that although I have grown in some small ways, overall I have not gotten any where I need to be in my life. I have many talents that have been stunted and have not been allowed to grow. I no longer have the time to let things slide. Larry's success as a person, to me, is that he took the opportunity to grow his talent and his voice and see how far he can go with it.

I am at a place where I have the opportunity to finally do this for myself and I am not going to let it pass again.

This is what I am talking about. Good luck, you are moving to a highly populated area with few jobs. These photos are from the Rutgers Labor Education Center Job Fair. I waited on this line for one and a half hours, just to get to the door of the building. The line extended the entire length of the building. The fair itself, even according to the organizers, had many less employers as in previous years. That means two things, employers expect you to apply on the internet. and that fewer companies are hiring.

I decided this week to let Moon go to rest.
He had seemed to stop eating. I tried hand feeding him but
he would pretty much just lick at his food. So this morning we
made a trip to Foxmoor Veterinary Clinic. Thanks again to
Dr. Maria Fjerstad and her staff.

This photo was taken a few weeks ago, you can see that his eyes are unfocused.

Last Night, Scarface gave Moon a good grooming, loving kisses.

This is the old Grover's Mill in West Windsor, NJ. I am more interested in the mill, which you can see the workings of in the picture in the middle, above. But this is also the site of the War of the World's landing, in the infamous broadcast by Orson Welles. More info. is in these three sites listed below:

The actual mill, this blue building is now privately owned and contains a chiropractor's office. It is a shame that the township has not done more to fix up this building, it is very run down. The mill, in my opinion, is far more valuable than its connection to the War of the Worlds.

The mill pond is called Van Nest Lake. It goes under the roadway and turns into a stream as you continue northwest on Cranbury Road (the road in these photos below) in West Windsor.

I want to get into Wicca but the thing is..?

I want to go into wicca, but I cannot get any materials at all, and I cannot change my religion either. I don't want to use spells just for fun, but only for really serious purposes, like succeeding in life (which is really stressing me out)

So can I still do wiccan things but not be wiccan, and is it safe and how can start?

Your Answer:

Anyone can read, research and practice just about anything these days. Is it safe? Is going to a catholic church safe? Not really, just ask these children who have been abused by priests, in an organisation that protects these sex offenders.

There are many solitary practitioners of Wicca (and as many books written on the subject), It is always recommended to read all that you can before you make a decision to work with other people. Being well informed is your best protection. By the way, Wicca, is only one path to take in the spectrum of Witchcraft or Paganism, you can explore them all to find the one you are best suited to.

Also, spells don't work on their own. You have to take action; spells, or prayers or meditations, or whatever you choose to call them, can only enhance any action or any thing that you desire. A quote I read once put it best; you can pray to try to sell your used car, but if you don't put an ad in the paper, your prayers are wasted.
